How to Connect Salesforce from Microsoft OWA ( Outlook Web App ) ?

Lightning for Outlook: We can set up Sales Reps to connect Salesforce from Microsoft Outlook. Team can manage from OWA ( Outlook Web App ) also they can add email and attachments to Salesforce records. They can create Salesforce records using global action. It’s very fast no need to login again and again with Salesforce.

Let’s configure Lightning for Outlook.

  • Click Setup
  • Click Email
  • Select Lightning for Outlook

  • Create Email Application Panes New – you can select object which objects you want to show in panel.
  • Click New

  • Below screen we can select object as well Label of Email Application Panel

App Builder Panel

  • Click Save and after click Activation
  • Create Lightning for Outlook Publisher Layouts

Outlook Publisher Layouts Publisher Layout Assignment

  • Above layout we can select which type of actions e.g. : New Contact, New Account, Account, Contact, Opportunities, Services etc.
  • Now we have to add domains of Microsoft

Microsoft Outlook Web App

  • Add add-in for Salesforce in your OWA
  • Click here to get add-in from Microsoft website.
  • Login button with your Salesforce details.
  • We already configured Lightning for OWA as well as added add-in.

OWA

  • Above screen we are getting from Salesforce about sender which is Divyesh Ardeshana.
  • From OWA it self we can create below action to Salesforce
    • New Event
    • New Contact
    • New Service Files
    • New Lead
  • Above list we can modify through “Lightning for Outlook Publisher Layouts” where you can select actions.
