Accounts in Lightning Experience

Account means : Organization with an established relationship to your company.

Synonyms names : Clients, Customer

For each Accounts, you can store related information such as Account summary ( opportunities amount ) Contacts,opportunities, Client History, Open activities, tasks, meeting, Log call, service contracts, service case, service plan start and end date, installation ticket and notes & attachments etc.

Below is Layout of Accounts in Lightning Experience.

Description for above Accounts layout.

  • Header : In header you can summary of accounts with below information.
    • Account Name
    • Type
    • Phone
    • Website
    • Account Owner
    • Buttons : Edit, Delete & Visit Website
  • Accounts Insights : In this section you can get news / updates for selected accounts.
  • Contacts : All contacts under selected accounts it will show in Contacts section.
    • If you want to create new contact then you can click on “New” button on right side.
    • If you see all contacts under same accounts then you can click on “View All“.
  • Opportunities : All opportunities under selected accounts it will show in Opportunities section.
    • If you want to create new opportunity then you can click on “New” button on right side.
    • If you see all opportunities under same accounts then you can click on “View All“.
  • Cases : All cases under selected accounts it will show in Cases section.
    • If you want to create new case then you can click on “New” button on right side.
    • If you see all case under same accounts then you can click on “View All“.
  • Notes & Attachments : All Notes & Attachments under selected accounts it will show in Notes & Attachments section.
    • If you want to upload file then click on “Upload a File” button on right side.
    • If you see all Notes & Attachments under same accounts then you can click on “View All“.
  • Activity: In this Section you can do below action.
    • New Task : you can assign task to sales team for this selected account.
    • Log a Call : you can do log a call for this selected account.
    • New Event : you can assign event to sales team for this selected account.
    • Email : you can email to user for this selected account.
